Our Onboarding Guide to Get You Started
Root Balance is a fulvic acid water conditioner for hydroponic and soil-based systems. It's not a nutrient. It works alongside the nutrients you already use, helping keep trace minerals available to roots and water moving evenly through your system.
The formula is simple and purposeful: fulvic acid for trace mineral support, natural yucca extract as a gentle wetting agent, and a food-grade preservative system that keeps every bottle fresh after opening. It also uses far less glycerin than our original formula, so there's less leftover food for microbes in your reservoir.

🚀Getting Started
Root Balance is easy to add to your watering routine. It mixes cleanly into tap, RO, or filtered water and works best when added before nutrients. Then feed and check your solution exactly as you normally would.
- Shake the bottle well
- Start with clean water: tap, RO, or filtered is fine

- Check pH and EC as usual, and adjust to your crop's target range
💉Dosing Card
Root Balance is concentrated: the standard dose is 2–3 mL per gallon at each refill or top-off, so one 16 oz bottle treats well over 150 gallons. Seedlings and microgreens get a lighter dose of a few drops. For soil, use the same 2–3 mL per gallon, mixed into your watering water just before use.

🌐System Compatibility
Root Balance works across hydroponic setups and soil-based watering systems, from shallow microgreen trays to deep vertical towers. Because it doesn't contain nutrients or sterilizers, it fits into your existing feeding schedule without changing it.

📝What to Expect for pH & EC
At normal doses, Root Balance has very little effect on pH or EC, so it won't throw off your nutrient plan. Your nutrients and your source water do most of the work there. Keep using pH Up or Down as you normally would, and adjust after your nutrients are mixed in.
🛠️Troubleshooting Tips
Root Balance is forgiving, but a few habits keep results consistent.
- A little foam when mixing? That's the natural yucca extract. It settles on its own within a few minutes.
- Cloudy bottle after cold storage or shipping? Let it warm to room temperature and shake well. A frozen bottle is fine once thawed and shaken.
- Water looks cloudy after mixing? Make sure you added Root Balance before your nutrients, and check for other additives that may not mix well together.
- Keeping it fresh: store sealed bottles in a cool, dark place, refrigerate after opening, and never dip a used dropper into the bottle.
