How to use the Calculator

 How to establish your BaseEC:

1. To do this, add 1 gm of Veg+Bloom to 1 gallon of the water. (IMPORTANT: Use the same water source you will be filling your tank with. ) 
    
2. Mix it up and take an EC reading. This will be your Base EC per gram (ECPG). Make note of it for all your top-offs. You only need to remeasure this Base EC when you perform a complete water change. Even then, if you're using the same water source, the Base EC should remain consistent and shouldn't vary much, if at all.

How to top off your tank:

1. ALWAYS fill your tank back to full, then test your current EC reading. Enter that reading into your "Current EC" box. We highly recommend daily top offs. This keeps the water cleaner and the nutrient levels consistent leading to improved plant production and growth.
    
2. Set your Target EC amount.  Then hit the Calculate button.  That will give you the calculated amount of nutrients to add to your system 
    
3. Add that amount of nutrient to your system. You do not have to mix the nutrients with water before adding them however, if you want to just mix them in 200-500ml of water and add to your system. That small amount of additional water will NOT have adverse effects on your system.
